School Day/Routine

The school day runs from 9.00 am until 3.30pm each day. This amounts to 6h30m each day and 32.5 hours each week.

This is a typical day at St Andrew’s C of E Primary Academy, Chardstock.

The school gates are opened at 8.50am and children can play before the start of the school day.  A bell is rung a few minutes before 9am for the children to line up by their classroom door. The children go into class ready for a 9am start.  Parents leave and the side gate is locked.

Morning Lesson 2
12:00-1:00pm
Lunch - Reception and KS1 children eat in the hall first followed by KS2
1.30- 3.30pm
Afternoon Lessons

KS1 will have a breaktime of 15 minutes during the afternoon. The time when this is taken is at the teacher's discretion

3.30pm the school gates open for the end of day.  Children are collected from their classroom door by parents/carers

There will be staff on the school gate and on the playground at the beginning and end of the day.
