Chardstock church

St Andrew’s C of E Primary is wonderfully supported by our local church. In additional to holding our Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Leavers’ services in the church, Rev. Nicky hosts collective worship in school every other Tuesday afternoon and the Open the Book team visit us in school every month.

St Andrew’s is a beautiful, Victorian, village church. The church community is very welcoming and is part of the Axe Valley Mission Community, which serves the village of Chardstock and surrounding hamlets in this area of East Devon. There are generally three services a month: a Communion Service on the second and fourth Sundays in the month (both at 10am), and a Book of Common Prayer Evensong (6pm) on the third Sunday. They also hold a monthly coffee morning at 11am on the third Tuesday of the month. St. Andrew's also has a well-used community bookstall and serves as a hub for village events. The lady chapel is set up as a space for quiet prayer and contemplation and is open every day.
