Computing

The children at St. Andrew's Primary Academy are taught an ambitious and broad Computing curriculum. A progressive curriculum developing skills from EYFS to Year 6 ensures that all children are prepared for a digital world when they leave school.

Chromebooks are used regularly in lessons to support the learning in all areas of the curriculum and the children are digitally literate in using these effectively.

The Acorn Trust is forward-thinking in their approach to computing, technology and hardware. Funding is spent effectively to give children and staff the resources required to teach a thorough and engaging Computing curriculum.

E-safety is taught throughout the year as part of our computing curriculum. This ensures that our pupils are positive citizens of their online community and are well prepared for the potential dangers of being online. We regularly share information with parents to support their own e-safety knowledge in order to protect their children.
